Hundreds of immigrants gathered in front of parliament demanding “documents for everyone”

Several hundred people, mostly immigrants, gathered this afternoon in front of the Assembly of the Republic in Lisbon to demand rights and "documents for all."

The rally, promoted by the Solidariedade Imigrante association, was scheduled for 2:00 pm and at that time, in the intense heat, some protesters were distributing water.

Many people are still arriving and, at 2:15 p.m., several hundred people occupied the area in front of parliament, sitting and chanting slogans such as “documents for everyone.”
